PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner for a vehicle which keeps good appearance of a grill part, and supplies comfortable air to an occupant. SOLUTION: In the air cleaner for the vehicle wherein an air cleaning unit 200 for cleaning contaminants in the air admitted from an air inlet 221 with filters 251 and 252, and for discharging it from an air outlet 231, is fixed on the back side of an interior trim material (e.g. a tray 110) in a car interior, the interior trim material is constituted by a member having permeability, and an opening part 111 is provided at a corresponding area to the air inlet 221. The member having the permeability may have a function of purifying air. Furthermore, a temperature control means 300 is provided inside the air cleaning unit 200. This can keeps the appearance of the grill part good, and supply the comfortable air to the occupant.
