A method for attaching a fixing element (2) to a wall, in particular, a tiled wall, involves delivery of a liquid, hardenable joining compound through the filler hole (3) of the fixing element into the space between the wall and the fixing element until this space is filled and the surplus compound flows out through the riser holes (6).
