PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for combustion by a regenerative burner in which generation of soot can be suppressed even when a fuel gas combustion is conducted at an air ratio of at most 1.0 in the combustion burner. SOLUTION: In the method for combustion by a regenerative burner, a pair of regenerative burners 1a and 1b are switched alternately to a combustion side and to an exhaust side, the combustion generative-burner conducts combustion at an air ratio of at most 1.0 to maintain the inside of the furnace in a nonoxydative atmosphere. A ratio between the primary fuel-gas feed amount G1 for the primary fuel nozzle 8 and the secondary fuel-gas feed amount G2 for the secondary fuel nozzle 9 is maintained to satisfy G1/G2=30/70-50/50. Further, 5-20% of combustion air is pre-mixed with the primary fuel gas for the nozzle 8 and blown as pre-mixed gas into an air-feed path 7, further a remaining part thereof is fed to the path 7 through a thermal storage body 6. |
