PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch, shortened in axial dimension in comparison with a conventional roller clutch and easily positioned and assembled with respect to a shaft. SOLUTION: Two inner ring plates 1a, 1a are stuck together, and an outer ring mounting cavity part 1d and a rolling element raceway track 1e are formed between the outer peripheral edges to form an inner ring 1. The inner peripheral edge of an outer ring 2 of plate shape is inserted in the outer ring mounting cavity part 1d of the inner ring 1, to rotatably mount the outer ring 2. Balls 3, serving as rolling elements, are accommodated in a plurality of holes 2a formed in the outer ring 2 at equal intervals in a circumferential direction. Each ball 3 is held by a cam face 2b on the outer ring outer peripheral side of each hole 2a and the outer peripheral edges of two inner ring plates 1a, 1a forming the raceway tack 1e, thus constituting the one-way clutch. The maximum axial dimension substantially becomes the added dimension of the diameter of the ball and the plate thickness of the outer peripheral edges of the inner ring plates 1a, 1a. The axial dimension can thereby be shortened considerably. |
