SOLUTION: There is provided an automotive door lock assembly 12 attached to an automotive door, which includes an electric lock module 14 having an electric board and the backup power source 28. The electric board functions as an interface connecting the electric lock module 14 to both a main battery 20 and a means for controlling the electric lock module, and the backup power source 28 supplies electric power to the electric lock module in case of a main battery failure. According to the door lock assembly 12, the backup power source is comprised of at least one electric energy storage element attached to the board, and preferably the electric energy storage element is a super capacitor.
