PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detection malfunction caused by a change in the microwave electric field when the microwave propagates through a curved part, in an object detection device wherein a microwave transmitter/receiver and an antenna are connected by a waveguide having the curved parts. SOLUTION: In this object detection device by the microwave, the microwave transmitter/receiver 10 and the antenna 30 are connected by the waveguide 20 having the curved parts A. A flat plate-like fin 1 made of a metal or a dielectric extending along the axis C' of the waveguide 20 is projectingly provided on the inner wall of the waveguide 20 in at least one position of the curved parts A and a portion on the microwave transmitter/receiver side or the antenna side of the curved parts A of the waveguide 20.
