<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing the freezing of a hot-water apparatus, which can reduce wasteful power consumption at execution of preventive freezing. SOLUTION: This is a freezing preventive device in a hot-water apparatus, and this has at least an electric heater 51 for prevention of freezing, actuated to prevent freezing at low temperature at or under a certain freezing prevention starting temperature, a temperature sensor 52 for prevention of freezing for detecting the air temperature at a place where the hot-water apparatus is installed the ambient temperature within the hot-water apparatus, or the water temperature within the pipe of the hot-water apparatus, and a water passage detection means 22 for detecting the quantity of passing water within the hot-water apparatus, and also this is provided with a controller 60 which takes in the data by the above water passage detection means 22, even if the main operation switch of the hot-water apparatus is set to off and will not perform current application to the electric heater for prevention of freezing, even if the temperature is at the freezing prevention starting temperature or under in the case that the quantity of passing water is judged to be at a certain reference flow rate or lower.</p> |
