PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed change control device for a vehicle operating a backup for speed change control when an actuator is in trouble. SOLUTION: In this speed change control device for a vehicle, provided with a speed change control part 405 constituting a multi-step speed change made capable with a plurality of transmissions 502, 503 combined to mount an actuator 530, 560 for a speed change in each transmission to switch a gear shift by driving these actuators, when improper action is detected in the above any actuator 530, 560, a changeover from the present gear shift to a gear shift accompanying action of the concerned improper actuator is inhibited by the above speed change control part 405.
