PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide useful route information even on narrow streets and perform flexible guidance by diversifying route selection at branching points such as intersections. SOLUTION: An intersection K10 and a vehicle's position mark M10 are displayed on a display 20, In Fig. (A), since progress is possible in the direction of a road L10, an arrow F10 is displayed there. Since a road regulation of prohibiting entry is imposed on roads L12, L14, no entry marks M12 and cross marks M14 denoting that progress is impossible are displayed there. Also, arrows M16 are displayed to roughly showing the direction of a destination. In Fig. (B), since progress is possible in the directions of roads L22, L24, arrows F10 are respectively displayed there. As to a road L20, although it has no regulation of prohibiting entry or the like, a cross mark M14 is displayed there because progress is impossible for a reason such as interruption of the road. |
