PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sedimental control dam of steel, capable of effectively absorbing impacts when blocking driftwoods, rocks and the like, while maintaining a latticed basic arrangement for producing the above various effects, (1)-(4). SOLUTION: The sedimental control dam 10 of steel comprises a number of steel columns 12 and beams 13 combined in the shape of a lattice. A longitudinal oblong hole is formed in each end of each beam 13 and a base 11 having a storage part and steel bars erected in the storage part is formed of concrete, etc., on the natural ground. As the steel bar is inserted into each oblong hole, each end of each beam 13 is stored in the storage part of the base 11 and each beam 13 is fixed to the column 12 erected within the base 11.
