PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder toning method with simple toning operation, and a composite powder coating material composition having no recognizable hue spot in a coating film to be obtained and its powder coating method. SOLUTION: The powder toning method comprises dry mixing two or more powder coating materials having different hues and/or tones from each other to effect color matching, and (1) each of the two or more powder coating materials having a 90% particle diameter of greater than 30μm to 70μm and (2) any of theΔL values of two coating films arbitrarily selected from the coating films which have individually been formed with the use of each of the two or more powder coating materials being <=30 and, at the same time, any of theΔE values being >=10. In the method, it is preferred that the volume average particle diameter of each of the two or more powder coating materials is not greater than 18-30μm.
