PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic, non-calcined colored pencil lead which has a strong lead body and yields a glossy, vivid writing. SOLUTION: The non-calcined colored pencil lead contains at least a binder and a scaly aluminum powder. Here, the amount of the scaly aluminum powder contained is from 10 to 50 wt.% against the total amount of the colored pencil lead, wherein those having a biaxial average diameter of from 20 to 50μm accounts for >=30 wt.% of the total amount of the aluminum powder.
