PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and smoothly supply and take out a work irrespective of elongation of a conveyer chain. SOLUTION: This work supplying and taking-out method supplies the work onto a pallet 10 by a loader in a rear position of a conveyer 1 comprising the chain conveyer, and takes out the work on the pallet 10 by an unloader in a front position of the conveyer 1. The conveyer 1 is stopped to position the empty pallet 10 in a prescribed work supplying point Q when the work is supplied, the conveyer 1 is restarted after the work W is supplied onto the pallet 10, the conveyer 1 is stopped to position the pallet 10 laid with the work in a prescribed work taking-out point R when the work is taken out, and the conveyer 1 is restarted after the work W is taken out.
