This is an invention relating to the production of a two-type filter (A and B type) with the use of a stable granular preparation made of mineral fibres or pumice stone suitable for forming efficient filters and able to retain nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide from cigarettes or cigarette-holders. Said filter can be inserted in the intermediate space formed by classical filters or in the housing provided in cigarette-holders.
