PURPOSE: A circuit for detecting wire/wireless mode and selecting the power of a wire/wireless keyboard is provided to automatically detect wire/wireless mode, select, and supply the power according to wire/wireless mode. CONSTITUTION: The circuit comprises a key scan part(34) scanning the key data such as number, character and symbol, a main body connector(36) receiving the poser from the main body and transceiving various data and clock signal with the computer main body on wire, a wire/wireless detection circuit(37) detecting the connection state with main body by checking the power supply state through the main body connector, a power selection circuit(38) selecting the power of built-in battery as the power of keyboard if the power supply from the main body is not detected, a controller(30) controlling the transmission of the key scan data to the main body in case of wire mode and controlling the transmission of the key scan data to a wireless transmitter in case of wireless mode, and the wireless transmitter(39) to transmit the data from the controller on wireless mode after a signal conversion process.
