PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose ink jet recording paper, which has a high ink absorbing power and neither blur nor offset in high speed printing nor strike through and is excellent in dot density and the reproducibility of color tone. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording paper is produced by providing at least one ink accepting layer on a support. At the same time, the 5 second Cobb value of water is set to be 40 to 100 g/m2 and the 5 second Cobb value of an aqueous solution in 25 wt.% ethanol is set to be 50 to 70 g/m2 from the ink accepting surface. |
