PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina-magnesia-based castable refractory excellent in corrosion resistance and slag resistance in comparison with the conventional castable refractories. SOLUTION: The alumina-magnesia-based castable refractory containing zirconium oxide is obtained from a mixture containing 68 to 95 mass % alumina-based raw material having an average particle size of <=5 mm, 1 to 30 mass % magnesia-based raw material and 0.1 to 5 mass %, in total, of a zircon powder and/or a zirconia powder, each having an average particle size of <=100 μm. |
