PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve air venting performance in a gallery chamber, and to set valve opening pressure proper for pressure-proof performance of two O rings arranged above and below the gallery chamber. SOLUTION: A valve opening pressure setting valve 8 and a cutoff valve 9 are arranged in series in an overflow valve 6 for controlling gallery chamber internal pressure of a supply pump in prescribed fuel pressure or less. At priming operation time, a sheet valve 73 of the cutoff valve 9 is sat on a seat surface of a seat part 56 by loosening fastening of a hollow screw 61 to a nipple 71 fastened and fixed to a pump housing of the supply pump to thereby cut off the outflow of fuel from a passage hole 7. At pump operating time, when the internal pressure of the gallery chamber increases to valve opening pressure or more, a ball 62 rises from the seat surface of the hollow screw 61, so that the fuel flows out of the passage hole 7 to control the internal pressure of the gallery chamber in proper internal pressure.
