PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, for the detection of a protein, in which a background is low and in which the reproducibility of the detection is high and to provide a kit for protein detection. SOLUTION: The kit for protein detection is formed in such a way that a small container in which a reagent used to color the protein is sealed, a detection medium comprising a detection part which is composed of polyester used to transfer and collect the protein and a container in which the reagent and the detection medium come into contact are combined so as to be housed as one. The reagent and the detection medium come into contact by crushing the container sealing the reagent after the protein is transferred and collected.
