PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable navigation system capable of simply displaying information necessary for a user to know a present position on a portable equipment for relatively limiting a memory capacity, a display area and a display information amount. SOLUTION: The portable navigation system comprises a calculating means for calculating information on a latitude and a longitude of the present position based on a radio wave or the like received from a satellite or a ground station, a storage means for storing block information regarding a reference map, and a display means for displaying the block information about the reference map corresponding to the present position and the present position based on the information from the calculating means and the information stored in the storage means. |
