PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antidiabetic agent which can effectively suppress a blood sugar value without any anxiety of toxicities and side effects. SOLUTION: This antidiabetic agent including E-, Z-ajoene as active ingredients can inhibit the onset of diabetes or alleviate diabetes by lowering the value blood glucose. In addition, there is not report on the toxicity and side effect of E- and Z-ajoene and they can be regarded as to be innocuous to human body and there is no anxiety of side effect, even after these substances are ingested for a long period of time.
