The panel has a honeycomb core (5) sandwiched between solid (12) and porous (13) skins and located between transverse walls (7) forming cells (6). The cells are divided by partitions (8) made from hollow spherical porous-walled elastomer, ceramic or metal micro-balls (15) which are stuck together and to the walls (7) at their points of contact (16, 17). The thickness of the partitions is equivalent to at least 15% of the thickness of the honeycomb layers.
