PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for navigating capable of alleviating a user's burden by smoothly route guiding when a mobile vehicle approaches a destination and having good handleability. SOLUTION: A building MB including a destination MA or a site MC is set as a destination area. When the vehicle MD approaches the destination, the destination area MC is highlighted on a map of a display 10. That is, the area MC is displayed in a color or a pattern different from that of another facility or site part. Thus, even if a mark MA of the destination is not displayed, the user can know to approach the destination. Thus, route guiding when the vehicle approaches the destination is smoothly conducted, and the user's burden can be alleviated. Particularly, it is effective in the case of a relatively compact apparatus for navigating having a narrow display area of the display 10. |
