PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam drain silencer which restrains generation of noise at the time when steam drain is discharged and prevents splattering or the like of the steam drain. SOLUTION: A silencer body 6 of cylindrical shape whose both ends are closed is disposed being supported by leg members 7 with the inclination of a given angle with respect to the horizontal level. A steam drain piping nozzle 8 for connecting steam drain piping 3 thereto is protrudsively disposed at a desired upper part of the body 6. The body 6 is filled with a muffling member 9 for muffling noise caused by the steam drain that flows into the body 6. A discharge seat 10 for discharging the steam drain to a side groove 5 or the like is provided at a desired lower end part of the body 6.
