PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conjugate yarn containing a natural fiber or a synthetic hydrocarbon fiber as the core material, especially a yarn having antislipping property useful for the knitting of a lining cloth of a tufted carpet, etc. SOLUTION: The conjugate fiber has a sheath-core structure containing a yarn of a natural fiber or a synthetic or semisynthetic hydrocarbon fiber having a melting point of >=150 deg.C as the core material and a thermoplastic synthetic resin having a melting point of <=130 deg.C as the sheath material covering the core material.
