PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet having no fear that the neck or the like is strangled, enabling the length of a chin strap and the connecting location to an ear strap to be easily and rapidly adjusted, and excellent in an appearance and a sense of putting on the helmet by imparting a stretchable function to the chin strap. SOLUTION: This helmet is provided with a jaw strap M composed of the ear strap M1 attached to both right and left sides of a shell S or an interior material installed in the shell, and a chin strap M2 for connecting both intermediate parts of the straps M1 to each other and being on the chin of a person putting on the helmet. The helmet is also provided with a connector K composed of a connecting means 1 which is attached to the intermediate part of the strap M1 and attaches the strap M2 in the perpendicular direction to the strap M1 and means 2, 3 which elastically energize the strap M2 in the direction of the strap M1.
