PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an seismic saddle type snap tap involving no risk of the snap tap corotating with a boring apparatus in the boring operation for a water diversion hole using a utility boring apparatus and not requiring even jig for exclusive use for a corotating cap. SOLUTION: The seismic saddle type snap tap is embodied in a dual structure consisting of an inner cylinder type valve box where the snap tap is fixed to a saddle and an outer cylinder type branch part to be fitted on the valve box rotatably. The valve box is composed of an inner cylinder part fixed to the upper saddle portion, a cap screwing part formed thereover, and a valve stem window and water passing hole formed penetratively in the side face of the inner cylinder part. The branch part is composed of an outer cylinder part to be fitted rotatably on the inner cylinder part of the valve box and a valve stem inserting part and joint part to be connected with the outer cylinder part. According to this constitution where the boring apparatus is installed on the cap screwing part, there is no risk that the boring apparatus corotates with the branch part at the time of boring operation.
