PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover made of a synthetic resin for a fire-hydrant intake, which does not slip off by floating in the case of submersion. SOLUTION: A cover body 1 is formed in a short cylindrical shape, in which a top face is closed, so called a cap shape, and made of a synthetic resin. A handle 2 is formed integrally onto one side wall of the cover body 1, and a ring 5 made of a metal as a weight is attached to the handle. A pinhole 4 for an air vent is formed to a cover side wall on the diametral reverse side of the handle 2.
