PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig device for rotating a steel pipe pile capable of driving the steel pipe pile deeply into the ground without being damaged nor increasing resistance to propulsion. SOLUTION: The jig device 1 for rotating a steel pipe pile comprises: an upper pipe section 5 formed of a pipe member and rotated as its head or sides are gripped by a pile rotating device (not shown) or the like, the pipe member being equal in diameter to the steel pipe pile 2, with the lower edge 4 of the pipe member directly resting on the head edge 3 of the steel pipe pile 2 and being equal in diameter to the head edge 3; a lower pipe section 6 provided to extend integrally with the lower part of the upper pipe section 5 by welding in such a manner as to form the lower edge 4, the pipe section 6 being inserted into the steel pipe pile 2 from the top of the pile; and a connection means 7 provided in an appropriate portion of the lower pipe section 6 for enabling the inside of the steel pipe pile to be connected with and disconnected from the lower pipe section, while enabling connecting and disconnecting operations to be carried out above the ground.
