The clutch (30) is inserted in an automobile drive train (11) between the IC engine (12) and the gearbox (14) and is provided by an electrical machine with a rotor component (40) and a winding component (50), with a control device (60) for controlling the relative rotation rate between the rotor component and the winding component. An Independent claim for a drive unit with a drive train containing an IC engine is also included.
