The handheld measurement device has an operation module (2) and a measurement module (1). The measurement module has an optoelectronic sensor (12). The operation module includes function keys (4), a touch sensitive display (5), memories, and a processor. An interface (8) enables the connection of the optoelectronic sensor of the measurement module with the memories and processor of the operation module.
