PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a primary amine from a nitrile, inhibiting side reactions and excellent in a catalyst recycling. SOLUTION: The method for producing the primary amine by performing a catalytic reduction of the nitrile is characterized by catalytically reducing the nitrile with hydrogen in the co-presence of the catalyst for catalytic reduction, cyanic acid and/or a cyanate. |
