PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cushioning attachment of a forklift durable over a long period. SOLUTION: The cushioning attachment 15 of the forklift is formed by assembling a cushioning material 16 into an L-shaped fork 10 on the loading side of an upright arm part 11. A movable member 17 having the cushioning material 16 fixed thereon is installed on the upright arm part 11 of the fork 10 movably relative to each other in vertical direction. When the horizontal arm part 12 of the fork 10 is moved vertically in the fork pocket 14 of a load 13 in an abutting state of the load on the cushioning material 16, the upright arm part 11 allows the movable member 17 to move relative to each other in vertical direction, and leaves the movable member 17 in the abutting state.
