PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the flooding on an elevator landing by solving such a problem in conventional flooding detectors that they detect flooding only when the water flooded from an elevator landing is accumulated in a pit. SOLUTION: This flooding detector is provided with a door sill hole 4 in the door sill groove 3 of a landing door 1, a water receiving pan 6, which is provided below the hole 4 and in which the water flowing into the door sill hole 4 is accumulated, a water discharge port 7, which is arranged in the pan 6 to discharge the water accumulated in the pan 6, and a detection means 8 to detect the water of specified volume accumulated in the pan 6.
