PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car device for an elevator capable of preventing the difference in stage between a car floor face and a landing floor face when a car having a car frame supporting the car floor while controlling the vibration is stopped at a landing. SOLUTION: The car frame 1 is suspended by a main rope 2, a floor supporting frame 3 is mounted at a lower part, and a cage 4 is placed on the floor supporting frame 3 through a rubber vibration insulator 6. A position detector 8 operated in being located in opposition to a predetermined vertical position of a hoistway is mounted on the cage 4. Whereby the position of the car in the hoistway is detected by the position detector 8 to stop the cage 4 at a predetermined position with respect to a desired landing of the hoistway. The position of the car floor 5 face is located oppositely to the floor face of the landing at the stop of the car even when the deflection corresponding to the amount of load in the cage 4 is produced on the rubber vibration insulator 6. Whereby the difference in stage between the car floor 3 face and the landing floor face can be reduced at the stop of the car, which allows passengers to easily get on and off between the car and the landing.
