Intraoperative bone quality evaluation method, uses measurement of force required for insertion of measuring probe in bone

The bone quality evaluation method has the investigated bone opened for manual or automated insertion of a measuring probe in the bone, with measurement of the force required for insertion of the measuring probe, e.g. by compression of a coil spring acting on the point of the measuring probe, for measurement and display of the bone density. An Independent claim for a bone quality measuring device is also included.
