The burner (1) incorporates a combustion chamber (6) with at least one fuel -supply (2) which injects fuel and air alternately, especially in relation to the temperature in the combustion chamber. The fuel-supply pipe is attached to a single air pipe (10), and to a fuel pipe (9). A burner-lance (3) protrudes into the combustion chamber. The burner has separate fuel outlet nozzles (4) from the burner lance.
