摘要 Fluid is supplied by a line (82) to a vessel. Near the inlet opening, a moving plate (40) is sealed against the container inner walls and carries the supply line. The outlet passes through the base where a pump is attached. The degree of outlet closure is controlled automatically as the plate is moved by the flow. The volume retained is a function of the inlet (81) and outlet (31) flows. An Independent claim is included for the method of benign intermediate storage, especially of temperature-sensitive, highly viscous fluids in systems of closed lines with at least two series-connected vessels. The fluid is supplied to and between the vessels using pumps, with, if appropriate, pump(s) to further vessels. An extraction device discharges fluid from the last vessel. Preferred features: The vessel (11) is preferably tubular, circular and/or longitudinally-profiled and/or double-walled. An internal anti-adhesive and/or anti-corrosive layer is provided. Internal sides of the plate and base (21) have complementary, especially conical profiles. The plate is so designed that the fluid is distributed uniformly over the entire cross section of the vessel. Within the plate, the fluid is distributed through a star-shaped distribution channel to its outer edge, to enter uniformly over the entire circumference. All parts of the vessel contacted by fluid are thermostatically-control to the inlet temperature. Heating employed, is based on hot water, an oil-based thermal fluid and/or steam. The plate is subjected to constant force at the fluid surface, which is independent of plate position. Force is applied by a pneumatic cylinder (51), a hydraulic cylinder and/or by a weight. The vessel volume is completely filled. Internal pressure at the supply point is determined only through the weight of the plate, components and forces loading it. The degree of vessel filling and plate position are independent of internal pressure at the inlet point. The extraction device is an extruder, a pump, a gear pump, especially a polymer extraction pump or a valve. The gear pump is operated continously.
