PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine rotor consisting of a sintered compact of silicon nitride which is improved in strength and fracture toughness, is improved in FOD resistant characteristics and is enhanced in reliability and method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: This turbine rotor consists of the sintered compact mainly composed of the acicular crystals of the silicon nitride. The degree of orientation to the centrifugal force direction f of the acicular crystals is >=50% in vane parts 2 and vane neck parts 3 and is <=10% in a central part 1. |
