PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new regenerating method for irradiation embrittlement monitoring piece capable of minimizing and uniforming a thermally influenced part width and providing a regeneration test piece of good quality free from connecting defect. SOLUTION: The faying surface 1a of a tab material 1 is preliminarily worked into a protruding shape having a swollen rotating central part, and bonded to the recycling part 2 of a test piece by surface activation connecting method. According to this, since the activation of the faying surfaces can be uniformly performed, a regeneration test piece free from connecting defect and having a narrow thermally influenced part width can be obtained.
