PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector which can eliminate complication of an optical connector adaptor (adaptor) caused by storing an inner housing, and realize a simple structure, and reduction in the number of parts and cost. SOLUTION: The optical connector 1 is equipped with the adaptor 3, in which optical connector plugs 2a, 2b are inserted and connector with each other, and a connecting housing 4 which is inserted into this adaptor 3 in a drawable manner. The optical connector 1 is constituted such that the optical connector plugs 2a, 2b are connected inside the connecting housing 4 which is inserted into the adaptor 3.
