PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for testing a bolt-fastgening force which can highly accurately measure an axial force of bolts without effects of expansion and contraction by an operating oil temperature and can simply carry out operations after completing the measurement. SOLUTION: This testing apparatus includes an oil chamber 5 for the operating oil formed by a cylinder 2 and a piston 4, and a bearing surface plate 7 fixed to the cylinder 2 to be opposite to the piston 4. A bolt B is passed through the piston 4 and the bearing surface plate 7. In the apparatus, a nut N meshed with the bolt B to butt against the bearing surface plate 7 is fastened and a pressure of the operating oil in the oil chamber 5 is detected, whereby the fastening force of the bolt B is derived. The apparatus is provided with a pressure release valve 10 for releasing the pressure of the operating oil in the oil chamber 5 by communicating with the oil chamber 5 and opening a channel.
