PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a knitting needle capable of preventing slipping down from the knitting needle and widely applicable to many kinds of the knitting needles. SOLUTION: This cap 1 for the knitting needle P is capable of preventing the slipping down of knitted stitches by fitting the body 2 having elasticity on the knitting needle P. A through-hole 3 for passing the knitting needle P therethrough when fitting the body 2 onto the knitting needle P is formed in the body 2 and groove parts 4 extending in the axial center direction of the through-hole 3 are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the through-hole 3.
