PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily sense the liquid level of a liquefied gas in a gas cylinder from the outside of the gas cylinder. SOLUTION: A liquid level position-sensing device 10 is provided with an ultrasonic sensor for transmitting/receiving ultrasonic pulses. For example, when a worker in a gas sales company brings the device 10 into contact with the outer wall side surface of a gas cylinder 20 for moving up and down, the shape of ultrasonic pulses to be received changes when the device 10 passes the liquid level of a liquefied gas 30 in the gas cylinder 20. The liquefied gas liquid level position-sensing device 10 is provided with a means for sensing the liquid level position based on the shape of the changed ultrasonic pulses, and a means for reporting the sensing result, for example, by lighting an indicator 11. Also, the liquefied gas liquid level position-sensing device 10 is fixed to a wall surface by a magnet, thus sensing and reporting a specific liquid level position. As other reporting means, a system for reporting sensing information to a control center by cables or radio can be configured. |
