PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an outside diameter of a mounting bracket is increased to prevent an air bag device from being miniaturized because a reverse U-shaped continuous part is protrudedly provided at outer periphery of a hold ring part holding an inflator. SOLUTION: This air bag device is constituted by fixing the cylindrical inflator 5 expanding and deploying a folded air bag on the mounting bracket 6 to store it in a case 3 together with the air bag. The hold ring part 6d having a slightly smaller inside diameter than an outside diameter of the inflator 5 is provided on the mounting bracket 6, an elasticity providing means 6e providing elasticity in the radial direction is formed in the hold ring part 6d to press the inflator 5 into the hold ring part 6d. The inflator 5 pressed into the hold ring part 6d is fixed on the mounting bracket 6 by reducing a diameter of the hold ring part 6d due to the elasticity of the hold ring part 6d to miniaturize the air bag device easily because there is no protruding part in an outer peripheral part of the hold ring part 6d. |
