BOLT, AND MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT USING THE BOLT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt to reliably fasten two members having variations in spacing, while absorbing the spacing and to provide the mounting structure of instrument panel reinforcement using the bolt. SOLUTION: A collar bolt is mounted on a shaft part 3 of a bolt body 1, threadedly engaged with an internal thread 21 of a second member 20such that the bolt can be separated by a given load. A thread part 7 threadedly engaged with an internal thread 11 is formed at the upper part of the outer peripheral surface of the collar bolt 6. This bolt is stopped in a position where the lower end of the collar bolt 6 buts against a second member 20, by further rotating the bolt body 1, the bolt body 1 is separated away from the collar bolt 6 and fastened against the internal thread 21 of the second member 20. By using the bolt, the inner panel reinforcement is fastened directly against the body by the bolt.
