PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing drive for a sunroof and the like capable of easily detecting a position of a slide panel with using a pull control cable as a power transmission means. SOLUTION: In this opening/closing drive for the sunroof and the like, power from a driving mechanism 19 is transmitted to the slide panel for opening/ closing an opening part of a roof through the pull control cable consisting of inner wires 13a-c for transmitting drawing force and outer tubes 15-18 for transmitting compressive force, and the slide panel is operated to be opened/ closed. A gear 31 is fixed to a pulley 14 for turning a direction of the inner wire 13b, and a switch LS for detecting movement of a flexible rack 32 meshing with the gear is provided to form a position detecting mechanism 21 for detecting a position of the inner wire 13. |
