PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming heat radiation blocking film which is uniform and improved in durability and abrasion resistance in increased film-forming yield without ignition of inflammable gas, danger of explosion, fear of occurrence of environmental pollution and health disturbance. SOLUTION: This method for forming heat radiation-blocking film comprises bringing a transparent substrate into contact with a chemical for formation of film comprising an organometallic salt as a metal oxide source and an organic solvent capable of dissolving the above organometallic salt and water and forming heat-radiation blocking film composed of a metal oxide by heat decomposition of the organometallic salt. In the method, at least cobalt carboxylic acid salt as a cobalt oxide and a chelating agent for forming a cobalt chelate compound by partially replacing with carboxylic acid group of the cobalt carboxylic acid salt are included in a chemical for formation of film. The chemical for forming the heat-radiation blocking film is provided. |
