PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure supply pump for miniaturizing a physical constitution and improving valve closing responsiveness by small electromagnetic attraction force. SOLUTION: Overlap parts 75 for overlapping a part of a tip part 52 of a valve member 50 with an opening part of a fuel passage 71 of a plate member 70 at solenoid valve opening time are arranged in four places in the point symmetry to an almost central part so as to generate fluid force for pushing the overlap parts 75 in the valve closing direction by fuel flowing out to a valve seat part 17 from the fuel passage 71 of the plate member 70 in a valve closing stroke of a solenoid valve at fuel pressurizing forcibly sending time. The contact area of the tip part 52 of the valve member 50 and the plate member 70 reduces at solenoid valve opening time to reduce adherence force. Thus, a period required for closing the valve is shortened. A valve closing response period is reduced. Valve closing responsiveness can be improved without increasing the electromagnetic attraction force, and a physical constitution of the solenoid valve can be miniaturized. As a result, a mounting space can be easily secured, and a manufacturing cost is reduced.
