<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the use of the same parts for right and left brakes and to prevent partial wear of linings 11a constituting pads 7a, 7b. SOLUTION: Back plates 16 constituting the respective pads 7a, 7b are engaged with pad supporting arms 12a, 12b of a support 2a at a location radially outside of the outer peripheral edge of a rotor 1. The parts, engaged with the respective pad support arms 12a, 12b, of the end parts of the back plates 16 are offset toward the side face of the rotor 1. This constitution reduces moment working on the respective pads 7a, 7b, when braking to rotate in a perpendicular direction to the side face of the rotor 1, and solves the problem.</p> |
